“You have to find what sparks a light in you
so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.”
An interactive exhibition designed to unify us through the arts. The great works of literature come to life, characters speak to different sides of ourselves, and a social media subculture is created to encourage communication. All forms of creative expression are honored through unique integrated activities, including artistic expression of literature, cross generational discussions about the arts, and performances. The Book Tour reaches every state in America through universities, museums and other venues.
The Foundation is executive-producing documentary features. The Pulitzer at 100, being filmed by Academy Award-winning filmmakers, is set for release in 2016. That’s Hollywood: The Peggy McCay Story currently in development. The production companies have committed to donating net profits from all productions back to the FOS Foundation to assist in the development and delivery of programming consistent with the organization’s mission.

Most artists in today’s world do not have the opportunity to cultivate their creative gift. This program creates a platform for corporations to hire artists through FOS for long term “employment” including salary and health benefits. Artists and corporations are introduced based on demographics, interest, and research for the right match. Thousands of corporations in America can enable artists in this innovative program, investing in the legacy of culture for our civilization. This unique and necessary program is a wager on the human spirit.
Corporate Artists Sponsorship
All of us know people that have had a profound effect on others’ lives in the simplest ways, through kindness, generosity, living by example, or by being a true philanthropist. This program shares these stories with the world. Anyone can have the opportunity to honor a Warrior of Light and tell their story. Each year, these stories will be assembled in categories. An award ceremony will take place each year where celebrities acknowledge people for being “Warriors of Light”. These are our true leaders and role models.
Leadership Recognition Program
This educational program is introduced to children through schools and libraries. Students “earn their wings” through a series of deeds designed to enhance their understanding of literature and create a genuine interest for the stories, demonstrate how they apply to our lives, and deduct what is the wisdom to be inherited. Angels of Light will become Guardian Angels of Light leading younger ages through the program, while Ambassadors of the Light will have the opportunity to volunteer and represent FOS beyond their high school years.
Educational Program for Children
The FOS Foundation has partnered up with Cinelore Documentaries to executive produce a biography television series entitled: Greek Diaspora. The inaugural edition, Profiles in Civic Leadership consists of fifteen stories. Each one-hour episode focuses on Greek-American leaders and organizations that serve as examples in politics and civic life in America, as well as those dedicated to the preservation of Hellenism. Michael Dukakis, The American Hellenic Institute, Ambassador Eleni Kounalakis and Eugene Rossides are just a few of the biographies that comprise the first season. Subsequent editions will profile leaders who have made an indelible impression in: Science, Design, Philanthropy, etc. Another television series, The American Dream, will continue to depict immigrant stories of Americans from all backgrounds.
